ChemDefend 110

ChemDefend® 110 range of protective coveralls utilise the latest SMMS nonwoven technology, whereby two layers of meltblown polypropylene barrier films are sandwiched between structural spunbonded polypropylene outer layers. The polypropylene is spun to a fine dtex to create a high fibre density. This delivers a strong breathable material with excellent protection against particulate hazards. For the whole suit the Type 5 Total Inward Leakage figure TIL = 3.71 %. ChemDefend® 110 range material is soft, with excellent drape. The coverall is constructed to offer optimum body fit, with generous use of fabric in the underarms, chest and waist. This allows comfortable, unrestricted freedom of movement. The garment incorporates a number of key design features to assist in maximising protection, comfort and strength and to ease the donning and doffing process. The SMMS nonwoven is coated with an electrostatic dissipative layer. The weight of the spunbonded polypropylene layers is increased to enhance the fabric's strength and durability. EN1073-2:2002 – Protective clothing against radioactive particulate contamination. Type 5 – EN ISO 13982-1:2004+A1:2010 – Dry particle protection – suits which provide protection to the full body against airborne solid particles. Type 6 – EN13034:2005+A1:2009 – Reduced spray-suits which offer limited protection against a light spray of liquid chemicals. ChemDefend 310

The ChemDefend® 310 series of garments are constructed from a unique nonwoven composite which has been engineered to offer a high level of barrier to the permeation of inorganic chemicals and infective agents. The material provides a good level of comfort, strength and durability. A polyethylene barrier layer is combined with a melt blown polypropylene film, bonded onto a structural spunbonded polypropylene base layer. This construction provides an excellent barrier to liquids under high pressure. ChemDefend® 310 coverall range is constructed to offer optimum body fit, with generous use of fabric in the underarms, chest and waist, allowing comfortable, unrestricted freedom of movement. The garment incorporates a number of key design features to assist in maximising protection, comfort and strength and to ease the donning and doffing process. This includes a wide protective zip flap with an integrated chin flap. The garment is based on sealed taped- seam technology, where the seams have the same chemical permeation barrier as the whole suit. Additionally, all the elastication within the coverall is fully bound and enclosed, to assist comfort and also reduce the shedding of any threads and potential contaminant from the coverall into a production process. EN1073-2:2003 – Protective clothing against radioactive particulate contamination. EN1149-5:2008 – Protective clothing with electrostatic dissipative properties. EN14126:2003 – Protective clothing against infective agents and biological hazards. Type 3 – EN 14605+A1:2009 – Suits that can protect against strong and directional jets of hazardous liquid chemicals. Type 4 – EN 14605+A1:2009 – Suits that offer protection against saturation from hazardous liquid chemicals. Type 5 – EN ISO 13982-1:2004+A1:2010 – Dry particle protection – suits which provide protection to the full body against airborne solid particles.
